Guesthouse facilities
Bryngarw is a delightful guest house ideally situated in a peaceful location within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Set in grounds of 3 acres, it enjoys panoramic sea views towards Strumble Head.
Following a programme of steady improvements, Bryngarw has been awarded, from 2007, the "4 Star Guesthouse" Quality Grading by Visit Wales (the new name for the Wales Tourist Board) reflecting the high standards we have achieved and maintain. We also hold the 'Welcome Host' Gold Award, designed to ensure that the welcome that guests receive fully meets – or exceeds – their expectations!
For those guests that have special requirements – e.g. wheelchair users
– please see our Access Statement below.

Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are welcome - by prior arrangement - at Bryngarw, and they will enjoy the three-acre garden and surrounding countryside.
Please note that dogs are not allowed on any furniture, nor in the public rooms. Owners must provide suitable bedding for their pet, and a small charge is made, recognising the additional cleaning requirement.
Access Statement
- Large, private car park (gravelled) with closest parking space to guesthouse entrance reserved for guests with known mobility impairments.
- Access to guesthouse by two shallow steps from car park and one further step at the front door.
- Ground floor level throughout, comprising three en-suite bedrooms (2 double, 1 twin), lounge and dining room.
- The double rooms are relatively spacious, and furniture can be moved to provide wheelchair access to the preferred side of the bed. The twin room has more limited space.
- One of the doubles has a spacious bathroom, with separate bath and walk-in shower, with small step up. The other double has a slightly smaller bathroom, with a bath and shower over. The bathroom in the twin is much smaller, and has a bath with shower over.
- Wheelchair access to the dining room, whilst not a problem for standard wheelchairs, can be difficult for extra wide wheelchairs, due to a tight turn and relatively narrow doorway.
- Assistance dogs are most welcome (as are all well-behaved dogs!)
- Large print menus are available on request.
- Pathways around the guesthouse have been recently resurfaced with minimum slip paving.
- Large gardens, with extensive sea views, can be accessed by a wheelchair ramp, also fitted with a handrail, leading to large level lawns.
- Information is available on wheelchair accessible paths in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
- 411 bus service (Fishguard – St. Davids – Haverfordwest) passes through Trefin (bus stop 200 metres) and operates approximately 2 hourly service during the day (not Sundays) in each direction. The service starts from, and terminates at, Haverfordwest Train Station. The nearest stations are Fishguard Harbour (10 miles) and Haverfordwest (17 miles).
- Nearest towns are St.Davids (8 miles) and Fishguard (10 miles)
- Mobile phone reception can be unreliable at Bryngarw and in the area. Vodafone and Orange are generally better.
